A grandfather in North Carolina has shot his grandson in self-defense, according to police.
The incident occurred in the city of Benson, Johnston County. The grandfather, who has not been named, is 83 years old. His grandson was 27 years old.
A local ABC report does not say why the young man was shot, but that he was shot in the back, and the district attorney will not be filing charges.
