Ten days have passed since the horrific shooting at the Twin Falls, Idaho In‑N‑Out, and the nation has heard nothing from the major gun control groups about the incredible bravery shown that day, especially the armed citizens who stepped in and distracted the killer. Silence. Total silence.
Right after tragedies like this, groups like Moms Demand Action, Everytown, and Giffords rush to the cameras demanding more gun control. They insist that banning certain firearms and passing “common‑sense gun measures” would magically stop evil.
Never mind that these attacks routinely happen in deep‑blue states drowning in gun control. Never mind that no criminal, no madman, no would‑be killer has ever stopped to read a statute before committing murder. Evil doesn’t care about legislation.
But here’s what they really don’t want to talk about: Jordan Salinas. Austin James. Jaylyn Sanchez. And others who drew firearms, or tried, to stop the killer and save innocent lives. Their courage doesn’t fit the narrative. Their heroism undermines the claim that only government agents should be armed. So the groups simply pretend these Idaho heroes don’t exist.
To date, not one of these organizations has acknowledged the Idaho citizens who stood in the line of fire and acted. Not one statement. Not one word. They recognized the victims, as they should, but when it comes to the brave citizens who saved lives because they were armed? Zilch. Zero. Nada.
The pattern is obvious. There is no such thing as “common‑sense gun measures.”
There is gun control, more gun control, and ultimately the abolition of the Second Amendment.
That’s the endgame. And that’s why they cannot, and will not, give credit to the Idahoans who proved, once again, that armed citizens save lives.
