Colorado Springs Police say a man, Tate Parsons, called 911 and admitted he had assaulted his girlfriend. But when officers arrived, they found Parsons bloodied, not from the assault he confessed to, but from what happened next.
According to investigators, the girlfriend allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Parsons multiple times. Her sister then reportedly punched him in the face. The sister told police Parsons has a history of violent behavior.
Officers initially noted only the facial injuries. Hospital staff later discovered the stab wounds.
The Domestic Violence/Adult Sexual Assault unit responded and determined Parsons allegedly began assaulting both women after the sister tried to stop him from becoming violent.
Police say the women acted in self‑defense and are not expected to face charges. Parsons now faces felony assault charges.
While this story is not about firearms or a good guy with a gun, it is about self-defense, and whatever the weapon is, it’s always good when innocent victims fight back!
